Quick Passage

A friend said, "Oh! You must enter this in something." I'm not so

sure. I like the shot, and to me it's amusing and somewhat attention

drawing because of the airplane, which is what drew me to try and

capture it. So, I'd just like to know what others think of it. Thanks

Find another place to stand if you intend to take pictures from planes.For this particular picture things might be better if plane was facing the viewer or someone in the foreground was running towards or against the landing procedure that plane has.

As usual, I'm late to the table. But I respectfully disagree -- completely -- with the above comments. The power of this image comes from the wonderfully bizarre juxtaposition of a jumbo jet's tail and landing gear cutting across a mundane street scene as nobody seems to take note. It's a study in scale and a comment on modern life. I think the PoV is excellent, and I like it a lot. Warm regards, Joe

Perhaps late to the table, but oh, so welcome! You're seeing what I saw in this image, which is affirming and gratifying. It fascinates me that San Diego has it's airport smack in the middle of the city, so huge planes come and go and folks really don't pay a bit of attention. Thanks, Micki. I actually was hoping to get a little more of a plane, but there wasn't any way to accurately time it. Interesting that no one seemed to notice me standing in the street for the twenty minutes or so that I spent trying to catch planes sneaking by! I *was* fun!
