jaysolomon2 0 Posted February 13, 2008 This one is a little bit processed around the eyes. Please tell me what you think. Thanks. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 13, 2008 I think it is a pretty good photo. What did you do, dodge out the iris? The hair on top isn't wet yet so I am sure the kid just loved sitting there still as an oak tree while you bracketed 90 shots, Haha. I'd try the channel mixer or Black & White adjustment layer with a red filter. I'd give you a 7/7 but photo.net says I do it too often, so 6/6 for you. Jason Link to comment

jaysolomon2 0 Posted February 13, 2008 Jason and Pierre, Thank you for your comments. To answer your questions, I did not dodge the eyes. My skills with photoshop are rudimentary, and I have never used dodging, although I know it's quite common and should become familiar with the technique. What I did was selectively lighten the eyes with a levels mask, and then lightened the catch lights with a second levels mask. The shot is not cropped. It was sharpened and converted to black and white in Picasa (a program for amateurs, but I like its simplicity). The subject is not as patient as you may think. I only took 5 pictures. It is a position she likes to be in. In fact, she gave me the idea by lying in that position the last time I gave her a bath, so I just asked her to do it again. Jay Link to comment
gap 0 Posted February 14, 2008 Just amazing...don't know how you did it, but it was really worth the effort! Link to comment
giggles 0 Posted February 14, 2008 Beautiful image and definitely deserves higher ratings. She has amazing eyes and the sharpness of the image is perfect - not too sharp and not blurry. Well done! Link to comment
