jhl 0 Posted November 8, 2010 After I signed out of photo.net this photo caught my eye which was in the Top Line of photos by photo.net photographers.I read everyone's comments and somehow this capture seems to tell me something or shall I say the elephant eyes seems to have attracted my attention....My husband and myself visit our Kruger National Park in South Africa as much as we possibly can which could be sometimes every 6 weeks. First time I noticed the eyes of this elephant looking as if he/she is in Distress.Question: After taking your capture did you stay around to see if the elephant actually got up out of the water to walk towards where the others went ? Somehow, maybe I'm wrong her eyes looked panicky.....?Please set my mind at ease since her eyes will certainly stay with me for sometime because I'm a great wildlife animal lover and supporter of WWF.Must Congratulate you on a fantastic capture.!Warmest Regards from South Africa Link to comment
photodonn 0 Posted December 27, 2010 Johanna,Rest easy, I composed this (and finished it, including title) to create the illusion that the elephant is in distress. There were about thirty elephants in the area, and none were actually in distress. I wanted to create something different and interesting though, and I find that large animals often require creativity on my part to prevent "just another elephant pic". Donn Link to comment
