aeaster 0 Posted February 10, 2008 I like your framing here. Is this the Munsters' family country estate? I think that a dead-center subject is often death to a composition, and the Seventh Iron Rule of Photography states as much. But then I also strongly believe that a genuine artist is someone who knows just when to break the rules. Count yourself in the ranks of the genuine artists. Link to comment
kellen1 0 Posted February 10, 2008 Hi Andre...I haven't heard much from you since you got that Nikon! You must be having a great time with it :) Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted February 10, 2008 Count me with Andre on this one: it is a fabulous black and white. The composition is sterling; particularly the use of the tree framing the shot. Excellent range of tones. I wish it was posted a touch larger so that I could delve into it and explore the details. Well seen and captured, Kellen. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
kellen1 0 Posted February 15, 2008 I actually posted this small size by mistake but I was in a hurry so I left it this way. I am glad that you like it. I do too and the ones I like are usually the ones that don't receive any comments. This area is interesting. You will see acres of open space along the highway with old abandoned houses here and there. The land has probably been purchased for development. This particular area (Lancaster, PA) seems to be developing very rapidly. Link to comment
