bretsch 0 Posted February 9, 2008 An experiment in many ways, the main objective was to play with the forms of the elements in this format; besides being a pushed film with a polarizing and red filter to create an "infrared like" mood, and very visible grain. I'm really interested in your comments, thus in advance I thank you. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted February 9, 2008 Well, I for one love this! First, as an architectural composition it is terrific; the lines, the textures, and the tones - it screams Getty Center. Second, the polarized sky is a fabulous counterpoint to the warmth of the limestone and stainless; and to me, the graininess speaks to modernity. Finally, the tight crop puts the viewer right into the architectural elements. Well executed, my friend! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted February 10, 2008 Juan Carlos, Great artistic rendition of this complex. I like it best viewed 'Larger' where the textures really shine. It grabs one's attention for it's unusual presentation. A fine interpretation. Best, LM. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted February 10, 2008 Chris, Len, thank you very much to both of you; that such comments come from two of the photographers I respect more in this site, certainly is a great thing. It even feels like two of the best compliments I've received on these site; the kind that one strives for, those that make you forget the ratings and their pretentious way of directing the amount of views an image gets....I think I can't care less about them now, with such comments like yours, let the 3's come. jcpopper 0 Posted February 10, 2008 You've made the structure "breathe." Wonderful technique. An exciting image. Regards... Link to comment

lennartmaschmeyer 0 Posted February 11, 2008 The experiment was a success professor! I didnt like it at first sight to be honest, but in the large version the grain works very well and makes for a great atmosphere. Superb composition and very surreal image. Actually makes me want to shoot architecture again. Greetings from Germany, Lennart Link to comment
chens 0 Posted February 12, 2008 whati saw is the left part of the rough building with interesting ladder. maybe let the left part an ordinary colors will give a strong contrast with the center building and bring another mood. regards. Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted February 18, 2008 Fascinating interpretation. The grainy feel adds an interest touch and the interplay of light and shadow feels dramatic. Link to comment
Link to comment
