susanhardman 0 Posted February 8, 2008 This is from Kashgar in China. The movie "The Kite Runner" was filmed here. Thanks for any thoughts on the photo. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted February 8, 2008 it's a great photo as it is. I think tough you were a bit too fast in taking this. Why not a bit more close-up and a slightly lower POV? That would've really made it perfect. Very fine b&w Link to comment
mg 0 Posted February 8, 2008 Well, I'm not sure I really agfree with Tom about the lower POV. It was an option, that's true, but I think you'd win some and lose some if you had gone lower. What you'd gain is a better perspective on the kids and you'd be at their level instead of remaining an adult. :-) But you'd have lost the perspective on the street. Pros and cons, it seems. For me, the first suggestion would be to crop half a cm at left and much more at right in order to obtain a perfect square. Second: I think that IF you could have waited a bit, you might have earned yourself something a bit more alive, a bit less posed. That said, their expressions are nice, and it's a pretty good photo.
