Dead Rose

Hello everyone. I am new here... just trying out different

photography sites to find one I can call my "home." I hope that I

found a winner here. Anyways, if someone could help me out on the

whole rating and critiquing thing here and how it works, I'd greatly

Welcome to photo.net. Seems to me you have the hang of it. :) and of photography! Keep on uploading. Its lookin good so far! Personally, I like to watch gallery. You get to see the newest uploads, and have a look at others than the ones that are on your favourite list, or portfolios that you may go to because they are some of the best on here. To the right on the gallery page you can check to see the top photos, top photographers, photos of the week. Once you have a photo with over 10 ratings your name will randomly appear on the top photographers list. There are forums to read and much more. You can put your photo onto the critique list, if you wish, as well. I appreciate all comments on how to improve my photos, as I am just learning. There is a lot to learn by reading the comments on other photos, also. :) End of lecture... no exams, schools out!

Very nice. I like that you shot it from behind, almost as if it is embarrassed to be seen.

I like the dark backdrop - makes the rose "pop". Nice light and composition. Great job.
