treeffe 0 Posted February 11, 2008 Good composition I like the sharp foreground and the smooth background. Congrats Fabio Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted February 13, 2008 Henri, Thanks to the soft light you have details throughout with just enough direction to it to help show shapes & textures. Through cropping you have many different compositions at your finger tips if you wish. You are a little short on technicals so I'm just wondering what equipment\media you used to capture this one. The greens are exaggerated I think. They are acceptable here but look overly wild in your other current posting 'Bras mort de la Dordogne', like Fuji Velvia on steroids. :-) Just wondering. Always a pleasure. Best, LM. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted February 13, 2008 Thank you Len. It is right, I have forgoten to wright the technical details. The camera used is the Nikon D80. The lens is the nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 AF-S DX. It is possible I used a polarizer filter, which could explain the saturation of green but I am not sure. But you know, by this sort of weather, the colours are naturally saturated. Have I increased it on post-treatment ? I can't remember. Possibly a bit. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted February 14, 2008 Hi Henri, The soft, foggy background is lovely. The green is so fresh. This looks like an enchanted forest. Very nice. Link to comment
florianabarbu 0 Posted February 14, 2008 I like fogy landscape and composition. Misterious light . Link to comment
florianabarbu 0 Posted February 14, 2008 Yes, the colours are naturaly saturated ,I can see. Wen I used the polarizator filter I have the same green on my photos. Link to comment

carsten_ranke 0 Posted March 2, 2008 A very nice contrast of sharp versus soft, of saturated versus subtle color. Beautiful light, very atmospheric. Agree with Len, green is a bit wild. Velvia plus polarizer seems to be a hot combination :-) Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted March 2, 2008 Thank you Carsten. This is the true saturation of the green here and it is not Velvia. Don't you know ? I have got a digital camera now. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted March 3, 2008 Henri, I didnt realize that you "are digital" now. Of course, you can get the Velvia effect with your DSLR. If this was the green you saw, then it is perfect Link to comment
