kim_tural 0 Posted May 28, 2008 Thanks for the pat on the back! I do love that it turned out too. Put quite a bit of time into it and well you know it's not the time you spend on something that counts, it's the results. The chipmunks were plentiful that year, this year might be a whole different story. We saw none the last time we were in the country. We are thinking that the winter was just too long this year with snow on the ground for 6 months. Have a good one! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 6, 2008 Kim, As with Lou Ann I too was taken in by this effort. I never even thought about it being largely a digital creation. Kudos to you for your PS skills and patience and even more for your honesty. Your efforts, at least at first glance, are transparent. It doesn't LOOK manipulated. Very nice result. Best, LM. kim_tural 0 Posted July 8, 2008 Hi Len! It is always a pleasure to hear what you have to say about a photo, in this case mine :-) Glad you like it and happy to have fooled you. As I mentioned earlier I waited a long time to manipulate this one and in the process did a much better job than I would have a couple of years ago. Frankly, I never even saw the possibility at the time of shooting. I worked at 400% magnification at times and went at pixel by pixel for some spots in order to integrate the different components of the image. A lot of work but in this case well worth it, I think. I try not to fool anyone here on PN because you are all too smart for me, somehow the truth always surfaces and so it pays to be honest, sometimes:-)) Link to comment
