makes me wonder how you got this shot. Where could you stand and not get hit? A tiny bit of fill flash would have reduced the shadow a little and highlighted the suspension parts, but I guess popping a flash in the drivers face is a no-n0

The track curves around to the driver's right, I stood on the left edge, behind a cement wall! I know what you mean about the fill flash, but I was using a 560mm lens and was far out of flash range!!! You can go to the same spot in the afternoon, and get full frontal lighting, but what I like about this is that you can see the light under the lifted tire. I also put it up to answer the question "how flare resistant are the Leica lenses?" As you can see, really flare resistant! The blacks are really pure, and this is about as backlit as you can get...
