eis 0 Posted February 14, 2008 This reminds me of Renaissance paintings. The skin color is the best thing. I am thinking of trying to make my wife (a painter) to paint a copy of it. Pleas tell me have you made a digital alteration of the original ? How did you take this photograph ? Was it made on professional assignment (or a an exercise for a professional) or purely for amateur fulfillment ? Have you entered a competition with this photo ? Best Regards, E.Sarmas Link to comment
kerryharrison 0 Posted February 14, 2008 Hello Evangelos, Thank you for your kind comments. I had the idea for this image for about 6 weeks. Everything was very planned, including my choice of a model. It isn't any kind of accident that the image looks like a Renaissance painting as that was my intent. I have a strong background in art & design as well as art history. I have many other concepts that I will be pursuing this year, so please stop back. Many of the the concepts will take a bit of effort and time to get the exact effect that I am looking for. There is no manipulation of the image. Warm Regards,Kerry Link to comment

gudmundur_geir 0 Posted April 23, 2008 I like the old style and feel of this picture. The pose is perfect and the 7 types of fabric add some contrast to the pale skin. Lovely indeed. Link to comment

mikelgondra 0 Posted June 22, 2008 Very parallel with "Venus of the mirror", painted by the spanish famous painter, Velazquez. Both pink tones in the bed clothes and in the model skin are similar in the painting. The dark orange in the background also equilibrates the atmosphere. The skin seems to be very soft, Wonderful photo. Rgds. Link to comment
l_rowan_mcknight 0 Posted July 31, 2013 This is stunning. I Stumbled on it, and had to register on the site just so I could tell you.At first glance I thought it was an old odalisque painting. I lingered for a second look because the skin tones are so great. I was just thinking how realistic and fresh her face looked when I realized it was a photograph.I can't express what a great job you've done here. All of the elements fall together perfectly, and your model is just lovely. Thanks for this! :) Link to comment
