boinkerkeys 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Hello, This is my second attempt at portraiture. I'm trying out my new monolights as well as my new EF 85mm f/1.8 lens. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Link to comment
cooltpmd 0 Posted February 4, 2008 This is a nice start. It may be just my monitor, but I am distracted by a light brown smudge under her lower lip, it may be a shadow. The light stiking her left hand is bright. It makes her pretty white skin even paler. I think you have a lovely shot here. Link to comment
jim umbaugh 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Great picture, I wonder what it would look like if the models head was turned at 3/4 to the main light, and a reflector or white cloth, (T SHIRT) or whatever is used to illuminate the darker side. I think (I know it is subjective) that the facial features might be more interesting and the photo a bit more dramatic if you can convince the model to give it another try. This kind of treatment might also eliminate the shadow below her lip Link to comment
rpallagi 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Lighting is ok, I find the background color distracting, and the palms are also a bit aquard. Nice start though... Link to comment
