Very nice work, I am not a big fan of digital alterations, there is always an exception to the rule that would be your work. I took a look at your judgement day portfolio fantastic. Regards

Excellent work with a superb background. The only nit-pik I have is the absence of the bird feet but I am sure that was a conscious decision on your part. Congrats on a beautiful image.

Thank you josoIII and Tony.

Tony, feet are a perpetual problem when compositing birds because you almost never get them, entirely, in the original. One sunflower seed will obscure half the foot of a small bird. Or, they are flat when I want curved or vice versa.

And feet are probably the hardest part of a bird's anatomy to reconstruct. So I try to (artfully) exclude them from my composites. But you caught me, anyway. *sigh*

Julie, the entire Judgment Day series is remarkable. Your compositing skills are superb. I particularly appreciate the consistent lighting on all the birds to bring them into a believable common space. Exciting work.

Julie,

Your images in which you isolate the birds provide an counterpoint to my usual work of interpreting wildlife within their native wilderness, yet unlike other abstractions I've seen, I like yours very much.  The alert postures of the birds support a conversation about animal intelligence or awareness. The images are bright, sharp and textured.

If you stare at this image long enough, the clouds begin to move.  I'm sure it's an optical effect that our Photo.Net founder can describe. (I'm only drinking milk right now by the way).

I particularly enjoy your "Blue Green" series on your website.
