lizweisiger 0 Posted February 3, 2008 I have a Lucy who looks just like this in the eyes. Perfectly done, she could be mine too. Thanks for posting this. Link to comment
seismiccwave 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Depth of field a bit shallow. Lucy's fur is more in focus than the eyes. Link to comment
l_t6 0 Posted February 6, 2008 I know that Labrador look! :-) Honestly, I like the tight crop (assuming it was cropped) and shallow DOF because it focuses on Lucy's eye expression and the raised eyebrows (all part of that expression). Having tried many times to photograph my lab, I know it's not easy to get everything in focus where you want it to be - they don't stay still long enough to take one or two shots in the same position. So, even though Hansen lamented that Lucy's eyes aren't in focus, I think this is as good as it's going to get given the moment. And B/W worked so well (wouldn't have know she's a chocolate!) here. seismiccwave 0 Posted February 6, 2008 I agree about lab being hard to focus. I have an old lab and I have yet to get a photograph of her that I like. Link to comment
