celasun 0 Posted February 4, 2008 A nice portrait; calm, sincere... Nothing is overdone. The cropping is also nice. Link to comment
iliafarniev 13 Posted February 7, 2008 Hej Jon. I was looking at this photo and the other one with two girls with great interest and admiration but also feeling as if there has to be something more to it. I think that this photo, for example, is of such a high technical and aesthetic quolity, make very close and personal encounter with the persone, that it need some kind of story or text to it. As if you see someone down the street you don't have to speak but if you meet someone over a coffe table it is normal to converse. The visual impact is very strong and require a logical continuation I think. Regards. Ilia. Link to comment
jongaus 0 Posted February 12, 2008 Thank you very much for your comments, Bulent and Ilia. I'm for the time being working together with Ingjerd. I asked her to pose as a model, and she agreed. I've tried to figure out what I wanted with the portrait. I believe there are (at least) two approaches I could have chosen: One, to show her most typical appearance, making viewers of the shot saying, "yes, this is really how she is". Another, trying to display my own interpretation of what I find most interesting and attractive about her visual expression, making viewers saying, "is this really Ingjerd, I didn't remember her that beautiful". I think it's the latter approach I've tried. In this context, I find your comments very interesting. Link to comment

iliafarniev 13 Posted February 18, 2008 Jeg har ikke nogen bestemt id蠥ller forestilling men tro at vaerket har storere kapasitet som burde arbejdes med paa et elle anden mode. Lade os hoere fra Ingjerd. Link to comment

jongaus 0 Posted May 6, 2008 I did ask Ingjerd if she would write some words about this portrait. Here is what she wrote: "Et "tett paa"-bilde som ikke skjuler at jeg har noen aar bak meg. Likevel foeler jeg at det gjenspeiler mye av meg selv. P堳oeken etter noe nytt, aapent blikk for nye input. Et lite smil om munnen som signaliserer positivitet. Likevel med en liten tankerynke, mulig grunnet livserfaring. Hatten lager en skygge-effekt som gjr meg litt hemmelighetsfull og ikke avsloerer meg helt. Kanskje en effekt som gjoer at man oensker aa bli bedre kjent?" Which translate to something like: "A close-up picture which doesn't hide I have some years behind me. Still I fell it reflects much of me. Searching for something new, open minded for new input. A little smile signalizes positivity. However with a small "wrinkle-of-thoughts" (?), possibly caused by experience of life. The hat makes a shadow effect which makes me a little secretive and does not reveal all of me. Maybe an effect causing one to want to get to know me better?" Link to comment
