james_c._turner 0 Posted February 1, 2008 The point I see is either some journalistic or human interest stuff....called PHOTOGRAPHY. Geesh, doesnt seem too hard to figure. Link to comment
tgregoire 0 Posted February 2, 2008 thanks for your suggestion but I do prefer my photo without removing the woman behind... And, most generally, I don't want to manipulated my pictures. Link to comment
haleh b 0 Posted February 2, 2008 I do not care if you choose not to manipulate your images...that is your choice. I am just baffled! A woman breast feeding a baby? No story and no information makes this image pointless to me. Link to comment
Funtak 0 Posted April 3, 2008 This is very beautiful scene, I like it in b/w, the mother eyes are full of love...I feel sorry for pople that could not see it.. Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted December 11, 2009 I agree with Haleh on this one. It is simply a picture of a large breast on a small woman. That may have attracted the attention of the photographer, but aasthetically speaking, the woman looks generally disinterested, and there is nothing in her expression or orientation that speaks to the viewer. The baby is looking neither at the mother nor at the photographer, so there is no connection there, either. Here is an example of what I mean. http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5784922 As usual, good luck. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 11, 2009 great shot, unique for the act, western women don't practice this kind of thing at least not in public. Link to comment
david_broadway 0 Posted December 12, 2009 I think this a good picture from a purely humanistic sense. I don't see the need for the photographer to show some kind of mother child connection through eye contact during the act or breast feeding for it to be a good shot--it's clearly not the intent here. Rather, it gives me a glimpse of a mother in a different culture in the routine act of feeding her child in public--in sharp contrast to Western culture. Isn't this the point of photography? To give a glimpse of different people, places, and things that I would otherwise be unaware. This picture does exactly that. Link to comment
