davidmccracken 2 Posted February 1, 2008 I don't really know what to say. I clicked to have a closer look and felt the image deserved a comment. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted February 1, 2008 Isn't this kind of cheating. The hardest part of shooting a macro of a fly is to be able to shoot a fly, closeup, without spooking it and get it sharp. If the fly is dead and is in a controlled environment, where's the challenge? Decent sharpness but the white balance is off. Link to comment
bkris 0 Posted February 1, 2008 Will, thanks for sharing your thoughts. It is unfortunately beyond my skill set to get 1mm from a live insect with a point and shoot digital camera. Besides, if everyone else is chasing after the live ones, I'm proud to have broken out and done something different... Link to comment
mnelson 0 Posted March 26, 2008 I think it's terrific. I personally think flies are disgusting and am glad to know that one of them is not able to spread more disease. It's an ingenious idea. As far as the artistic aspect... I like the colors and the DOF is great. Sharp and crisp and what ever the white balance is, it works for me. You've made this little beast look pretty good IMHO.
