Classic! the rattle above the eye along with the fixed and concentrated gaze say "Don't tread on me".

Nice capture and for my liking, I would probably will crop more, at least 50% in oder to focus the viewer to the eyes of the snake and without having to see the label as well. This will create a much stronger image. Anyway, nice snake portrait!
