laurent-paul 1 Posted January 26, 2008 Amazing light ! The hightlights on the foreground, probably the reflection from the vitrails look really organic, almost alive . But as in viewed thourgh a microscope Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted January 26, 2008 Exquisitely rendered golden tones througout. The humble altar beckons the viewer to come closer. The specks of colorful light reflected on the floor from the stained glass windows are like petals of flowers sprinkled on a red carpet. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 26, 2008 There is a very nice brown/gold harmony, created by the penetrating light from the L,playing on the floor, lighting the arked enternaces. Beautiful patina, roundness, and silence glowing on the whole. It explains the feeling of sanctity of generations of belivers which are coming to pray. A gem. Link to comment

bretsch 0 Posted January 26, 2008 Terrific!!...but what really does it for me, are those small highlights in the foreground, and the overall golden cast; good choice posting this one in color. Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted January 27, 2008 Very good shot where I agree with Juan that the extra plus is given by the strange white circles in the foreground but also be the warmer colours of the same area. Secrete signs ? Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted January 27, 2008 Wide south side aisle of the abbey church. The two archways in the distance lead to the chancel (left) and ambulatory (right). Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted January 28, 2008 I love this. Bathed in gold. Shimmering. The combination of the light streaming in, shifting and temporary, with the light of the candles, forever faithful, works so incredibly well, echoing back from the present through centuries. Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted January 28, 2008 Dennis, it's absolutely outstanding piece of interior shot, I agree with them; the incredible control on exposure, impressive presentation of the elements, magical gold light makes great layers & lively atmosphere in this moment, stunning execution, my friend!!! Best regards Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted January 29, 2008 Such a beautiful golden warm tones throughout the church. What really lures me here are the lovely white prints on the ground created by the light. An interior shot brilliantly exposed. Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted January 29, 2008 ... I appreciate them so very much, especially coming from the group that they did. I am also very proud of this image, which came out of nowhere among the 16500 PJ and I shot this fall. After working on it, was completely surprised at how clear and clean it was, the depth to which we can see in the distance. It is also rare to see a side aisle this wide in an abbey church, with the split passages in the distance. Again, thank you all. Jeff, what a place, eh? Link to comment
photis santamouris 23 Posted January 29, 2008 "I'm horribly behind" as Jeff says.Great light and compo. Link to comment
steppenwolf 0 Posted January 29, 2008 Wonderful photo! The light is stunning, and almost looks like an HDR image with its tonal range. Love the light at the bottom of the image. Was it from a stained glass window? Thanks for visiting my profile again. Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted January 29, 2008 ... it is actually an HDR. I've been working on making them as realistic as possible for purposes of shooting these churches. The colored light is from the north windows, believe it or not, coming from the north clerestory windows across the nave and spilling here into the south side aisle. The white is also part of the stained glass window, like emblems set in the vitrails. Glad you liked the shot! Link to comment
