sketch_tbhotmail.com 11 Posted January 24, 2008 Wow, Younes this is spectacular. The composition, the light, the weather... everything is fantastic. Kinda makes me homesick for eastern Ontario (of course, then I come to my senses). Link to comment
jennifer_carroll 0 Posted January 24, 2008 This is brilliant! I love the tone, composition and how the crack leads you through the image. Excellent! Link to comment

sketch_tbhotmail.com 11 Posted January 24, 2008 I'll consider it Younes, maybe... don't hold your breath. Out of curiousity, where was this taken? Almost looks too big to be the Ottawa River. Link to comment
Karl Schuler 48 Posted January 24, 2008 It looks like you were somewhere where men can not go. Strange place, amazing mood, excellent photo. Karl Link to comment
hopsage 0 Posted January 24, 2008 Yet another stunner from your work. I think the choice to render this scene in blue-toned monochrome is spot on, and you have a terrific range of tonality. I'm getting cold just looking at this. Link to comment
danbliss 0 Posted January 25, 2008 Beautiful image. Wonderful composition. Nicely done. Dan Link to comment

bretsch 0 Posted January 29, 2008 I've been staring at it for a while, I couldn't come out with much to say.....I guess sometimes you have to be content with just looking at something you like, and say nothing at all. Beauty may render you wordless. Link to comment

korovev 0 Posted May 18, 2008 fantastic work! I also appreciate very much that you explain that is a composite image.. the effect is very natural in any case.. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted September 11, 2008 A very nice picture indeed... It's quite flagrant that you purposely went a bit dark and "dull" in terms of contrasts on this one, right ? Probably because you wanted the print to feel "heavy" on our shoulders...? I'm posting here your original - at top, and a more contrasted version below, for the sake of the discussion. What do you think ? Link to comment
younes 0 Posted September 12, 2008 Thanks Marc. In all honesty, I have already pushed the contrast quite a bit from the original, but didn't want to take away the dark, cold feeling of the scene. As far as your version goes, I think it looks great, but the difference is fairly minor to me :). btw, thanks so much for following up on my work, I really value your opinion! Link to comment
mg 0 Posted September 13, 2008 Thanks for your reply, Younes. It's a pleasure for me to follow your work. As for the attached files, the main difference is in the central triangle, where I felt it would be good to see the water ripples and ice shadow details a little more. Regards. Link to comment
