Excellent perspective and cropping. Looks like it could be a tad bit sharper...

This is such an excellent composition, you might also experiment with other things, like whacking out the contrast, color, all sorts of stuff. It's very striking. Nice one!

great capture and camera angle, I have a friend who with an RAAF team extracted a Catalina from the jungles of PNG and rebuit it. The aircraft now resides in Canberra at the war museum. Regards Clive

I almost had to duck when I saw this pic! The perspective is great,enhanced by the plane's light. The focus might be a little sharper, perhaps, particularly on the left wing. Difficult to achieve, tho' given the motion of the plane.

Nice angle and framing. You should work a little on sharpness and grain. However,it's a good shot of a magnificent plane

There seems to be a consensus about sharpness, or lack of.

 

My fault really - the focus was set at a given distance and with the extremely narrow depth of field with the lens at 500mm(about 4ft at that range) it was very lucky to be recognisable as an aeroplane :-)

 

It is quite heavily cropped and I used Contrast mask in PS, plus a few minor adjustments to brightness etc.

 

I'm not too good at photoshop and anything else I tried made it look worse. If you could see the original, you'd know what I mean.

 

However, thanks for the suggestions - if you can see it's been sharpened - it's OTT :-)
