Todd Kowalski 2 Posted January 21, 2008 Jack! All three of these are AMAZING! I am blown away. When you have sperts of creativity you don't hold back do you? I would love to see all three of these hanging on my wall. The trio is done well, (Red Cone, To Keep My Mind from Wodering, & Forms). Regards, Todd Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted January 21, 2008 A red cone can become visual delight, when shot by Jack. A very good abstract. Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted January 21, 2008 Jack, I sometimes suspect that you carefully place those leaves in such artistic manner. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 21, 2008 Thanks very much for your comments on this picture, one of my favorites, but obviously not valued too highly by most others. Laurent, this is a good example of the apples/oranges remark I made in our recent exchange. I keep thinking what a great painting this would make on a canvas about 6'x4'. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted January 22, 2008 The cone is intruding on my personal space. I was thinking that some of your photos stir emotions because "things" don't stay in their proper place. They lean, they tilt, they spin, the hang in space, they taunt and laugh, they stand too close. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 22, 2008 Sorry about that, Jeff, the damned thing wanted to know what I was doing and came right up to my lens. I hope it didn't get any of its nasty cone drool on you. Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted January 23, 2008 Yes, oranges and apples. Do you remember my first postings on PN in early 2006, Jack? I didn't know anybody here, I did a lot of close-up shots of poles and pegs a little like this one, and you would drop by and comfort that newly arrived poster who felt destroyed by all those 3s. I'll be eternally grateful. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted January 27, 2008 After reading one of your comments on another mans picture, I just had to come here and take a look......I believe I've been here before, and for the second, or third time, really enjoying the visit......Like you said to well, some images are just beyond words and transcend any analysis, this is one of them. It may be hard, or even impossible to understand for most, but this is poetry captured in a two dimensional form. Congratulations! Link to comment
