Guest Guest Posted January 20, 2008 Don't try to kid me this is from a 1964 H.S. yearbook photo! Kidding. Very beautiful lighting on her neck and shoulder, I don't agree with the member who cropped your photo, she has a vee neck dress and the light fades into real nice. I think he might have tried some glory stealing, I see alot of that here!!! In a word Stunning. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 20, 2008 Yes, there is reminiscent to the George Hurrell type photo. Works! Link to comment
bernadette 0 Posted January 20, 2008 @Nikolay Nenov Thanks. Normaly I do not use the softening so much but in this type of photograph it works. @ Michael Ging Thank you for your comment. As far as I know the most attention in photographs is drawn towards the light part and not to the dark parts. So I don't see any improvement in your crop. And I loose a lot of the fading light. @ John Soulnier S, I was born in 1964 and in Holland they only started recently with yearbooks :) This photo was taken last weekend. Thanks for your comment. @Juha Kivekas I didn't know his name but after searching on the internet I love his pictures. Thanks for mentioning his name and ofcourse your comment. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 21, 2008 Bernadette, if you are into this type of shooting George Hurrel is the father of the style, actually you could even say he is the father of glamour. One interesting point in his photography is that it is mostly done with hot lights. Link to comment
