Matt Laur 2,201 Posted January 20, 2008 There are so many cheerleader shots that convey the hard work, athleticism, zeal, and (sometimes) Stepford-ness of that whole scene... and yet here you are showing simple, unaffected delight. The irony, here, is that if this same intimate portrayal of the subject's personal pleasure at what she's doing - in the context of the obvious rituals and painstaking decorative tribal conformity (and no small amount of ingenuity!) - happened to be set in Borneo, Kenya, or Madagascar... it would be a National Geographic shot. Great work, Tim. Your inner anthropologist is showing! Oh, and way to use that 85/1.8 at f/1.8! I know you love your 18-200, but it sure can't do that. Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted January 20, 2008 Thanks Shawn. Matt, I can't remember receiving a compliment I've enjoyed more than yours. Thank you. Good to hear from you both. Link to comment
