marcadamus 1 Posted January 18, 2008 Simon - try moving the grad filter up/down just a little during the exposure. It sounds strange but I garantee it will greatly reduce or eliminate any flare caused by adding the grad filter. Link to comment

marcadamus 1 Posted January 21, 2008 Rick, thanks. Weather was so unpredictable it was ridiculous. There was wet snow falling ten minutes before I took this! It was really some shower activity behind a cold front rather than the marine layer this day. I was shooting with Jeff Jessing and Dennis Frates this evening and we all agreed it could be something really special in the early afternoon. Luckily it came through for us! When I saw the files I thought, wow!, this was the first shot I'd taken in a long time that I could really feel. One of those special shots comes along little more than a few times each year. I proceeded to print a 25x40. Link to comment

I'm glad to see that you got a 16-35MM F2.8L, I just got one as well. I'm REALLY impressed that you got a 1Ds Mark III, Majorly envious there.
