aginbyte 0 Posted January 18, 2008 ... and have an early dinner at the coffee shop which MUST be just down the street. I've got a quarter for the parking meter, 50 cents for the daily paper, and I just had my hair cut at Hank's. When dinner is over, I'll step back on the street to see the Christmas parade featuring the precision marching of Boy Scout Troop 151. It's like an a pearl of Americana. Perfect. Link to comment
robertinio 0 Posted January 18, 2008 Great colour & tonnage composition. This was the attraction you see here, mI right my friend? Link to comment

jcpopper 0 Posted January 19, 2008 Thanks so much for the wonderful comments. Glad you like this simple light/texture shot. To answer a few questions and comments re the town -- Yes, there is a soda shop where you can get a vanilla or cherry or lemon/lime Coke, a lime phosphate, a sundae, all that good stuff. There is a Main Street barber shop, a cafe, a local paper (still independently owned), and if you substitute disorganized "Homecoming Parade" for precision marching band, you've got part of the picture. It's an old-time river town, though, and, like most small towns, it's not always an idyllic Norman Rockwell setting. Every now and then someone gets tossed through a saloon window. Thanks again... zambaras 0 Posted January 19, 2008 Yet another great piece of creative work in your superb portfolio, Josheph! Superb lighting, very strong compositionally with the wreath, red and circular shade counterbalancing the strict window rectangles and tent angles. Best, Nassos Link to comment
