thadley 15 Posted January 16, 2008 Thanks for your input. Old Technology: Nikon Fm2 (manual) & Fuiji Velvia slide film underexposed for increased color - long exposure to force reciprocity failure to encourage blue. No post processing - not even sharpening. Sub 6:10PM Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted January 17, 2008 Thank you for your kind words. As I always try to do, when someone leaves 'a mark' I will try and get to their images and leave 'a mark'. My eyes are shutting down so I will be off to sleep soon. Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted January 18, 2008 Thanks for your generosity. All the processing was done before taking the photo. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted January 19, 2008 Hey Tony, I was browsing through your portfolio and was quite impressed with your body of work. I'm sorry that I can't say the same for this image. The horizon seems a bit tilted, really no interesting foreground and I think the biggest flaw is the over the top colors. I tend to be heavy handed on saturation at times too, but this goes beyond believeable. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted January 19, 2008 Thanks for taking the time to comment and concerning the believability of this image I concur with your view. In fact, it is over 5 years old and I did not load it until recently because I did not think anyone would believe it. In keeping with this thinking, I used the image as a base for experimentation with photoshop filters (see http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6836708) loaded in this folder. It was only after a few positive comments on the 'original' that I 'took a chance' and loaded it. I have a level on the camera and the camera is level but the horizon does 'tilt'. In some other shots at this location, I have 'straightened' the horizon because I was getting too many comments about an unlevel horizon. Even saying that the camera is level leads to a credibility issue so I am beginning to think that it was a mistake to 'present' this image. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted January 20, 2008 Just when I was getting a little discouraged, you come and pick me up with a 7/7. Thanks. Link to comment
aramat57 3 Posted June 7, 2008 Tony, Very nice, this "old" technology! This one blows my socks off, just beautiful, and with no post processing. Love it. Best regards, Tammy Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted June 7, 2008 Thanks for commenting. I still have some Velvia in the freezer and I may just pull it out this fal in addition to some Agfa 25 ISO B&W film that is no longer produced. Link to comment
