Thank you for your kind words. As I always try to do, when someone leaves 'a mark' I will try and get to their images and leave 'a mark'. My eyes are shutting down so I will be off to sleep soon.

Hey Tony, I was browsing through your portfolio and was quite impressed with your body of work. I'm sorry that I can't say the same for this image. The horizon seems a bit tilted, really no interesting foreground and I think the biggest flaw is the over the top colors. I tend to be heavy handed on saturation at times too, but this goes beyond believeable.

Thanks for taking the time to comment and concerning the believability of this image I concur with your view. In fact, it is over 5 years old and I did not load it until recently because I did not think anyone would believe it. In keeping with this thinking, I used the image as a base for experimentation with photoshop filters (see http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6836708) loaded in this folder. It was only after a few positive comments on the 'original' that I 'took a chance' and loaded it. I have a level on the camera and the camera is level but the horizon does 'tilt'. In some other shots at this location, I have 'straightened' the horizon because I was getting too many comments about an unlevel horizon. Even saying that the camera is level leads to a credibility issue so I am beginning to think that it was a mistake to 'present' this image.

Tony,

Very nice, this "old" technology! This one blows my socks off, just beautiful, and with no post processing. Love it.

Best regards,

Tammy

Thanks for commenting. I still have some Velvia in the freezer and I may just pull it out this fal in addition to some Agfa 25 ISO B&W film that is no longer produced.
