Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted January 20, 2008 I like the b/w version better, too. The green of the apple distracts in the original image. One of your better stage pictures, Pnina. Link to comment

Donna Stavis 0 Posted May 22, 2008 Your connection of this to your pic of the Jewish graveyard in Prague is jarring. You write, "For me the end of this series is this: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=4770113" You take a moment of real physical closeness but expressions of sobering, separate contemplation, she staring at the forbidden apple like that of a glass menagerie, he in his world, present them bathed in magical golden muddy tones--an idyllic, romantic hue--yet real--the sunset does turn the earth this color in Israel, and you allow us to luxuriate in what is not written in the text-- we see the beauty of what they lived--but this is predicated heavily on myth, and severe punishment, of course, is imminent. What is more than jarring is the connection to the Prague graveyard, the innocent child looking around. Powerful, powerful statement. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 22, 2008 Donna, interesting that you came back to this series, I think I identify the connection....;-)) You have well interpreted the connection of the two Donna, I think that human survival instincts are so strong( the strongest) that it is the main force of human life. Myths are probably created as well by human experiences. Both works are Jarring in one hand and connected for me on the other. Thanks for visiting again this series. Link to comment
