Well observed image. The pattern is very interesting, with straight lines and curves, added to by the footsteps and just enough of the cars. Lovely image. I would be interested to try a crop so that just the one car with tracks is visible?

Really well balanced. . . . the mirror, white object in other car, footprints. . . .

Very nice. Original and aesthetically pleasing. Surely you didn't climb a tree in that weather to get that shot!

dude, im amazed. it's such a fun image. i love it. the white car kind of subtracts from the image [i would rather feel like im looking at an older photo when i see the older, active car, because it's interesting] but who cares, its still a good shot. i want to copy you :)

congratulations! you indeed an awarded man; successively POM (portofolio of the month) and POW!

A very original view on ordinary things

Nicely seen. Most would not have taken the time to notice this. A very good angle and tire patterns. A little to bright at bottom left? I like the placement of the 2 cars in the frame

good story image - i find myself becoming absorbed in recalculating the number of cars and routes to form these patterns - good b/w folder too - provocative and attractive in its starkness.

I think this image could be improved with some type of human activity showing, but I'm not sure what it would be.

I looked at your portfolio and it is really outstanding - you have a keen eye for detail and make interesting compositions that take time to explore. I also love B&W over everything else. You should get POW for "portfolio of the week." Glad to see your images!

With extremely ordinary scenes such as this, there needs to be something extraordinary about the shot. It's a nice shot but falls short. Great idea graphically, but just not enough there to pull it off.

For one thing, this photo does indeed "tell a story", albeit in its own cryptic manner.. Interesting shot, it did make me stand there and think for a while.

I guess the question is - "What's the story?" -- that cars park in parking lots and pull in and out of spaces? Don't mean to be harsh, but this image works as interesting graphic, but *not* as a story IMO.

Questionable grammar aside, I do feel a sense of implied motion, and also while I wonder about the story of who went where and why, I think this image works best when considered as a study of opposites:

black vs. white

forward vs. backward

active vs. static (tire tracks)

warm vs. cold (snowy windshield)

etc.

I like the graphic qualities as mentioned above and I think the composition is quite precise. Overall I think this is a very interesting image that shows what this photographer does best: takes extremely ordinary scenes and asks you to see them again, as something more than ordinary.

This is harder to do than you might think

surely the composition is ok, but it's not something i can imagine on my wall...

i find the footprints distracting and spoiling the otherwise graphic lines... and it seems i fail to see the story too...

not my cup of tea...
