arthillstudios 0 Posted August 1, 2002 You have to take lots of photos. i have nearly 800 shotsm and not many that i would shot too many people. i have a roll at the lab when i get them back.i will post em. looking good so far. might try more zoom or macro lens for more detail. expose more for the shadows on this image to get better object detail but i like it this way for the mystery and vast sense of being alone it gives.might try 210 or 300mm .check out mine when you can should be 2 weeks and i'll have some nature items up. thank mine is under portraits. matthew_peters 0 Posted August 9, 2002 Interesting! Moody and subtle enough I can't quite tell what it is. Link to comment
gerry_clarke 0 Posted August 13, 2002 I like it but find it just a little too dark. Is it the sky giving it the dark blue or is something else reflecting into the water? Link to comment
harry_akiyoshi 0 Posted August 13, 2002 Yes, the blue color is the sky's reflection. It's such a deep blue because this frame is a deliberate underexposure... EliteChrome (actually, most slide films) will saturate all over the place in conditions like that. True to life? No. But I liked the effect. Oh, and additionally, the light right then would have had a blue cast, probably. . . I was out kayaking in the early (EARLY) morning. Link to comment
ian_greant 0 Posted August 15, 2002 Nice image Andrew, Great tone, nice DOF, good sharpness on the main subject. Keep up the good work Link to comment
don_harper_the_edge 0 Posted January 24, 2003 Lovely composition and colors. Looks like an impressionistic painting. I love the hours before and after dawn. Just enough light to make things interesting for those that capture the right exposure. Thanks for sharing, and consider these comments helpful or rubbish as you see fit. Link to comment
