doug_gentry 0 Posted January 13, 2008 Clive, I agree it was TOTALLY worth it! This is a really beautiful capture!! The tree reaching, the beautiful reds in the canyon, it's all wonderful! Thank for camping and sharing! Dooug Link to comment
dennisdixson 0 Posted January 13, 2008 This is very cool. Technically and aesthetically. Link to comment
jo7hs2 0 Posted January 13, 2008 This image is excellent. The color is wonderful, and I like the composition. My only negative comments would be that I don't 100% like the little tree to the left, but I recognize that you might not have been able to remove it, or change its position. Otherwise excellent. 7/7 Link to comment
dyowell 0 Posted January 13, 2008 Wonderful piece of work! How many people have photographed this place? But not many shots like this! Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 13, 2008 It was more than worth it.... excellent landscape! Besides, it was an RV and not a tent :-) Link to comment
birteragland 1 Posted January 13, 2008 I concur with all the statements, my only negative point is that its just a little too saturated (the sky) other than that great shot. Link to comment
woolly1 0 Posted January 13, 2008 Many thanks for the good comments and ratings, I must say that as I walked along the rim edge I had a double-take passing this point - you know how an image leaps out of the scenery when you take photos! Joshua, kind words, I also wasn't too happy with the left bush but was less happy with wading closer to the snow edge (:o Birte, point taken and I have asked God to tone it down a bit. So he did. Thanks all, after looking at your galleries I am honoured to have your comments. Btw - for those who don't know this point is some 7000ft up, no wonder it's cold in January! Link to comment
arash khoshghadam 0 Posted December 19, 2008 this is a very good example where the secondary and primary point of interest are shown perfectly. the tree is the secondary point of interest and the canyon is the primary. the tree is in the foreground so it captures the eyes and lead into the frame and with the branches that is pointing toward the canyon leads the eyes in that direction. nice sky too with the variation of some clouds. you have fully captured the sky color in contrast with the canyon Link to comment
