PLEASE VIEW LARGER, THEN LARGER AGAIN FOR EVEN MORE DETAIL!

This is my first posted panoramic, and the cool thing I appreciate

most about this image is the tiny two-lane road (in the bottom right-

hand corner)in comparison to the massive nearby mountains. This

beautiful park has a 13-mile scenic loop and the road winds back and

forth through this gorgeous landscape. I hope you enjoy it and I look

forward to your comments! Thanks for looking! :)

Thanks for comment Will, I really appreciate when people take the time to stop by. No, this is not HDR. However, I do bracket all my shots to get the best exposures so I can pick something I like best later, but this was taken a few moments after sunset where you get that awesome color. Plus, we had alot of snow clouds coming through. In fact, it had just started to snow when I stopped at the top of the scenic loop to take these shots. Thanks again, Kristy :)

Thanks for your nice ratings and comments on my Red Rock Shots. Kristy this is one beautiful photograph of the area, and as you can see from my folios, I shoot this alot! I really like the loop and the viewpoint area(Bottem left of your shot). Think I will head back out again today! Its nice living here, so many wonderful areas to photograph. Thanks again and I will check back to see your latest additions. 7/7 for a great presentation!!...RAY

Will, Ray, Genghis, & Emilia- I really want to thank each of you for all the wonderful comments you have given this image. You guys inspire me to keeping shooting, which is why I think we are all here a PN to inspire each other. I, for one, truly appreciate it, because it keeps me growing in new directions! Thank you, Kristy :)

A wonderful panorama, Kristy, very well framed and presented. I love that hint of snow at the top of the range and the great detail all over. I'm sure it will look great printed out.

P.S. this deserves a couple of sevens for sure, but as you already rated me so high, the system doesn't allow me to reciprocate at the moment.

Cheers, Paolo

Superb Kristy, great composition! This image has it all, love the way it leads from left to right with the light from the hot sun bottom left to the ice cold snow top right!

Brilliant!

Wow, this is a beautiful image, everything about it works perfectly. The gradual line from left to right up the mountains, The tree and road leading you in on the right, and all building up to the touch of pure white snow caps, beautiful. Congrats, this is amazing.

I'd like to take a minute and give a sincere "thank you" to all the fine photographers here who have taken the time to comment on this image. I so appreciate it!

This image is one of my personal favorites. It is also one I've gotten a lot of positive response to, and it's the first photo of my portfolio to make the "Daily Sample" collage on PN's homepage. It might now be the POTW, but I was just as thrilled today to see it up there! I hope you all have enjoyed viewing it as I've had sharing it. Best regards to all! Kristy :)

you are more than welcome kristy.

Ill just run over a couple of things that makes this picture work that i didnt mention before.

1/ the diagonal from bottom left to top right helps boost the composition here.

2/ a brilliant sky

3/ Expert use of light of the rocky landscape

4/ a wonderful frame arrangment where in, the picture itself is offset slightly to the top.

Thank you for shareing.

I was referred to your portfolio by fellow Las Vegas and PN'er Raymond B. Sure am glad he told me about you. This is hands down the best Red Rock capture I have ever seen. Just stunning. Get the road in to show the size of the canyon was genius. Fantastic photo!

Thank you Clive & Mathew for your warm comments! I certainly appreciate when folks take the time to share specifically what they like (or don't like) about an image, as both allows me to improve on photos in the future! And Mathew, that's cool to know that you (& Ray) are also from Las Vegas too! It's nice to know I'm in such good company here both in Vegas and at PN! Take care, Kristy :)

Okay make me feel bad again! Ray Banfield took me here on our Death Valley trip but I didn't capture anything like this masterpiece. Well done Kristy, what a sky!
