mg 0 Posted April 20, 2008 Wow !! What an amazing picture ! I'd be curious to know what post-processing occurred here, and possibly see the original. It's tough to view this at this size, but it seems really fantastic... Link to comment
charliecrusan 0 Posted August 15, 2008 Amy I've come back you this photo again and again. It's one of my favorites. What kind of preparation did this take? I know that you chose the time of year because leaves were changing colors, and the lighting. How did you put yourself at the right place, and at the right time. Regards, Charlie Link to comment
amypang 0 Posted August 16, 2008 Dear Charlie, Thank you for your appreciation and support. Yea, preparation and planning is very important for this photo other than pure luck. Before the trip, hv to commun with the locals to locate the route of this shepherd and herds that frequent in the evening. The site that we chose was near to their home. Each evening they will rush back after the grazing. On spot, of cos, consenses with the shepherd is essential. Otherwise, the whiplash will be aiming at the camera and me other than the camel!!! another interesting scene to shoot I guess. Then, try your luck for good weather and yellow leaves (only a window of 2-3 weeks every year) . Up to date, this photo has win lots of international awards. I always think photography is not easy and involved lots of hardship. The night photo that I posted in the series "One night in Paris" is also not easy job, as I travel with some travel tourist group only for one night in Paris with my parents. U know what is like. Too rush and hope could hv more time. Esp for Charlie, if you like this shepherd photo, I think you may like my other photo "PUFF THE MAGIC DRAGON" now posted in the slideshow of Trienberg supercircuit (largest salon of the world) It luckily is also award winner for many international competitions. http://www.supercircuit.at/onlineslideshow.cfm?bildnr=6 Cheers and hope I answer u. amypang.net Link to comment
