A beautiful piece of work! The lighting and shadows in combination with that awsome sky keep me looking at this one. Great work.

Nice work. A red filter can often overly dramatize, but here the red filter brings out the sweeping lines in the clouds, matching the contrast in the fence and the shadows, giving the image a strong feeling of motion.

Truly remarkable--I keep looking at it over and over. Love the sky, the lines, the shadows. It comes together in sort of a "decisive moment" of nature!

Let me say that I do like the photograph. I agree with what everyone has to say about it. With one exception of course: My sister has almost the exact same photo hanging in her living room. I am not saying you stole someone else's work, but I do not think this qualifies for such a high originality rating when you can buy almost the same pic from Corbis.com.

Only average marks for originality (waning sunlight through picket fence), but that is more than compensated for in execution.

This is the kind of picture that I like. Clouds in a dark blue sky are great for B&W, and great capture of the shadows. I wonder what that object is on the horizon, does anyone know?

Absolutely beautiful! This artist's entire portfolio is worth viewing. One thing I particularly like in his Fences folder is the way he captures the clouds in the sky. Is that simply perfect lighting? or luck? or does he manipulate the photo in the darkroom somehow? How does one do that? I am very impressed.

I really love this one. Looks like it has been printed beautifully. Nice contrast and texture, the composition is spot-on. Very well done.

Great image. The contrast is impecable, the framing perfect. The clouds remind me of a fall or winter day at the beach after the tourist and snow birds have all headed south. This is the kind of photograph that can make me take a mental vacation just by viewing it.
