jeffl7 0 Posted January 6, 2008 Great details. Great tones. A very unique portrait. I also like the guy meandering through the middle, kind of a picture within a picture. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted January 7, 2008 Laurent, it is a very interesting composition where reality mingles with reflections, and part of it( the middle) is so alive that it is hard to observe what is what... I like reflections because they change from moment to moment depends on the light and angle taken. you have caught a good angle and light ,as well as very good exposure and crop. Link to comment
laurent-paul 1 Posted January 7, 2008 Thank you very much for your feedback. I agree I like reflections a lot, not only for the philosophical ( many times almost mystical ) or purely visual effects, but I discovered that because I'm using a camera where I can't get any DOF if I'm not in macro mode, a reflection will always look more blurry than the subject and therefore will give the impression of DOF. And in this case, it especially gave me the opportunity to be extremely experimental with the composition. It also helped that the man in the photo is a very good friend, and that he agreed not to move too much in order for me to be able to wait until somebody came walking into the reflection. marco_ruggiero 0 Posted January 8, 2008 Thank you for your kind comment, and I am flattered seeing this reflection. Ecellent composition and detail. Also great contrasts and I like, especially the way that you have captured the passer-by exactly betwwen the reflected image andthe "Real" person. Thanks and complimenti. Marco Link to comment
