timeless earth 1 Posted January 5, 2008 Isle of Skye to be precise. It's what this land is all about! Link to comment
anish 0 Posted January 6, 2008 That is one nice piece of real estate! I do think, though, that this would be a stronger image as a pure landscape, without the house. Anish Link to comment
graemeeckford 0 Posted January 6, 2008 Beautiful shot, stunning light and great movement in the water. I agree with Anish, the house is too modern and contrasts too strongly with the landscape - maybe if it was a deserted crofters cottage. Have you tried different crops? See a quick example below. I like 6x6cm but I know some people hate it. Keep up the good work, Graeme Link to comment

regis 0 Posted January 7, 2008 Hello Fergus Nice to see some photos from my favourite country :) Great start with your pf. I agree with the suggestions to get rid of that house. It doesn't suit here for me as well. Beside that - lovely scene with beautiful colours. The only thing that worries me is the photo sharpness. It is way too soft to my taste. Have you applied any sharpening here ? With such a camera you've used is should be really pin sharp. Greetings from Glasgow Piotr Link to comment
timeless earth 1 Posted January 8, 2008 Yeah its intersesting that afew folk prefer the shot without the croft. I guess its a matter of taste, the thing is ,is that it is a 200 y/o house not a new one as someone pointed out, so with this in mind that it is a traditional property with history then it may alter a persons perception on the matter. As far as sharpness is concerned please view larger. I've noticed a detioration myself in sharpness when image is re-sized down by photonet, any suggestion around this i'm all ears! cheers Ferg Link to comment
