regis 0 Posted January 4, 2008 Rannoch Moor from a slightly different perspective. Your comments/critiques much appreciated Link to comment
dacamera 0 Posted January 5, 2008 Excellent composition making good Fg use of 'The Beast'. I think you could increase the contrast a little for some more impact. Simon Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted January 5, 2008 This is very nicely done! Beautiful composition in the vertical format, and the light is just wonderful! Terrific dynamic sky too. You have all of the elements here. Happy New Year, my friend! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
davidclapp 0 Posted January 5, 2008 A nice sprinkling of icing Piotr and even though there obviously isnt a tilt to your shot the grass could perhaps do with being straight (?). I really do hope one day a huge rocket hits this mountain full in the face, its either that or a paint bomb!! Its such a compelling location but I really would like to see some different mountains! Nice work and good to see you are out and about in the winter cold. Link to comment
ronald_capasso 0 Posted January 5, 2008 Nice mood you've captured here. I'm interested is the beast you refer to that dead tree or the numbing wet cold? Link to comment
regis 0 Posted January 6, 2008 Thank you very much for your comments. I really appreciate it ! Simon - contrast is quite strong on my screen, but I know it is always a matter of a screen calibration. Chris - Happy New Year to you too :) Hope you had a good start in 2008 :] Cheers David - hehe. You know - I have a similar feelings about this mountain :) It is so bloody characteristic and what's even worse - it is almost like a curse to me (as I keep coming here all over again instead of exploring some other places). Who knows - maybe someday ? :) Ronald - it is definitely that dead tree (that looks like a giant scorpion to me), but your suggestion about the weather could be ok as well :) On my way back home I got stuck in the howling blizzard for something like 3 hours. I was hoping for some nice snow scenery, but unfortunately it is again quite dull there :/ Jitka, Wim - thank you Link to comment
anderlsp 0 Posted January 7, 2008 Great shot with great light, depth and a lot of sharp details. The only thing I could mention is, that the horizont seems to tend to the right. Andreas Link to comment
regis 0 Posted January 7, 2008 Andreas - thanks for your comment. When it comes to the horizon (mentioned by David as well) I can assure you it is completely even. All my shots are taken with a spirit level installed so there is no need to worry about it. Unfortunately the terrain in this area is completely irregular and it may in fact look quite tilted right now. Cheers, Piotr Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted August 21, 2008 Another beauty Piotr, the part sun part shade is very well balanced to present another great image! Link to comment
