I agree...either a little cropping, or preferably, dodge in some detail in the dark areas, if there is some there on the negative.

Of course, you could crop a fair amount from each side without losing any detail. However, I think that black space balances the composition very well. This is an original take on the subject. I like it as is.

I like it. This is the most original shot at this location that I've seen.
