stevesieren 0 Posted January 3, 2008 I think its bright enough but wonder what others think? If anyone also knows the correct name for this arch I would be really glad to know what it is? Link to comment
Carolyn D 44,518 Posted January 3, 2008 I don't know the name of the arch, but I do think it makes a wonderful frame for a beautiful image. The lighting is magical. Very very nice. Link to comment
joshschutz 0 Posted January 3, 2008 i think that if the arch was any brighter, it would draw your eyes away from the subject, the mountain. a wonderful image. Cheers Link to comment
new_zealand_landscapes 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Great light, but its the texture you have captured, were is this? 7/7 Link to comment
stp 6 Posted January 3, 2008 I'll second Josh's comment, and the foreground might be too bright already. Link to comment

dacamera 0 Posted January 3, 2008 It's easily bright enough already, the texture shows well. Great light on the mountain. Simon Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted January 3, 2008 I am with everyone; I think the foreground arch is just right. I love the framing of Lone Pine Peak and the lighting conditions you've captured. This is a genuinely terrific photograph! I try and make a trip to the Alabama Hills two or three times a year, and it is definitely about that time. Well done! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
daverave 1 Posted January 3, 2008 I'm with those that would take the lowest rock a bit darker but I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't called it out. Great shot, I'm amazed that I haven't seen a thousand images like it unless you had to do some climbing to get it! Link to comment
stevesieren 0 Posted January 4, 2008 Thanks Swamy, Simon, Chris, Lalit, and Dave. I'm glad to here it might be a little too bright. I'd like to keep it natural looking. Chris, I'm in your boat too I was on my way to Mammoth for New Years but had to stop here. Happy New Year!! Link to comment
kreg_ulery 0 Posted October 22, 2010 Really nice capture. I'm pretty sure it's called "Mobius Arch." Link to comment
