idandan 0 Posted February 25, 2001 man this is such an original point of view over palm trees . and a beautiful geometry too . Link to comment
jennifer_horsman 0 Posted April 3, 2001 The use of light in this photo is intriguing. The palm fronds almost look like ice crystals when they grow on glass. It is wonderful. Link to comment
constantine_stewart 0 Posted April 18, 2001 This is one of my favorites - a beautiful composition and excellent printing. The picture contains a combination of both strength and delicacy. Link to comment
hlaszlo 0 Posted April 18, 2001 Beautyfull photo. Like frost-works on the window, in very cold winters. Lovely! Link to comment
saqib_zulfiqar 0 Posted May 2, 2001 I like the way the exposure was done, specially the way the palms were back lit. Nice shot indeed. Link to comment
frankl 6 Posted May 16, 2001 Beautiful surreality you have achieved, and the angles you've chose really show off the tree's and their natural fractal-ness. keep up the good work Link to comment
think27 0 Posted May 30, 2001 I'm happy to have discovered your work. I'll be back frequently to admire. This one caught my eye first. Wonderful perspective, exposure, effect! Link to comment
amaravel 0 Posted May 31, 2001 Very nice perspective. The overexposure is emphasized by the "negative". Link to comment
kkwan 0 Posted June 6, 2001 Wonderful use of backlighting to create an ice-crystal texture. Carefully composed and perfectly exposed. Well done! Link to comment
philip_harle1 0 Posted July 8, 2001 Absolutely lovely. Wonderful composition, balance, tonal range, and the use of infra-red film adds originality to what is already technically perfect. Would love to see the original print. Link to comment
sharpeshots 0 Posted July 23, 2001 Cruised your portfolio. I'm a pro and we shoot very differently. You have a ridiculously 'well defined eye'. I'm jealous. What a wonderful sense of composition. Style? Gorgeous... But it's nothing without an inate sense of timing. Brother, you got it all! The ONE thing I really did not like about ANY of your photos is that I didn't shoot them... ;>) John Sharpe/Sharpeshots www.Portfolios.com/Sharpeshots www.Sharpeshots.com Link to comment
J.W. Wall 3 Posted July 30, 2001 Very delightful effect, although I am a little bit distracted by the grain in the sky. Link to comment
chjohnson 0 Posted August 7, 2001 Stellar photograph! It's funny, but I never would have thought of using IR on palm trees... then again, we don't have those in Alaska. I have only previously seen that film used on coniferous or deciduous trees. Great perspective, too. Link to comment
amypowers 0 Posted August 20, 2001 Great shot! I love IR - this is very different and interesting! Link to comment
latif 0 Posted September 28, 2001 It took my breath away!! I'm a pro in my own little world in a small town in South Asia. I wish I could know how the photographer took this photograph. How can I find the technical details and where? Link to comment
mealha 0 Posted September 28, 2001 Syed, this lense is very prone to flare, lucky i didn't get one. Beside that i dont know what else to explain. HIE, red filter. Link to comment
