vancouverphotographer 1 Posted January 2, 2008 Welcome to PN. I think you made a great exposure on this one - the building adds nicely to the image but perhaps I would have liked to have seen more of it. Link to comment
chris_conrad 0 Posted January 2, 2008 A wise photographer often asks me: "What is the subject of this photo?" If The Red Barn is the subject, it is lost behind the trees. I think this could be improved greatly by isolating a distinct subject: i.e. a cluster of trees coated in heavy snow, the barn itself quietly standing amid the white landscape, etc. Happy shooting! ~chris Link to comment
kasala 0 Posted January 2, 2008 Thanks for the comments so far! Framing a photo is something I'm generally OK at but coming up with names kills me. Call it writers block. I agree it may have been more interesting to see more of the barn but my focus was the scene as a whole. Looking forward to more comments! Link to comment
kasala 0 Posted January 2, 2008 I've added a second image with more focus on the barn as it seems that's the general mood so far that more focus should be placed on it. Take a look! Link to comment
tamidolphin 0 Posted January 3, 2008 I love how the red from the barn catches your eyes in all the white but like said before I would have liked to have seen more of the barn. Great job:) Link to comment
kasala 0 Posted January 3, 2008 If you check my portfolio you'll see an additional image which is a bit more focused on the barn! Link to comment
