timeless earth 1 Posted January 29, 2008 2-2.5 Billion y/o rock forms the western isles and far northwest of Scotland.Once connected to Greenland the Lewisian Gniess rock contains some extraordinary colours, however no fossils as these land masses were formed pre-life on earth! Link to comment

steppenwolf 0 Posted January 29, 2008 Beautiful shot with the long exposure. It seems like the foreground rock may have been exposed by a flash. Or is it natural lighting? Peraps it was an unusual light scene as the hill beind also seem to be partially lit by a low setting sun. Also good to read the info on the rock. always increases the content and subject matter behind the photos. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
