Assynt Dawn

One of Scotlands most important geological areas.Assynt in

Sutherland consists of sandstone (island) mountains on a coastal

plataeu heavily peppered with water - formed during heavy glaciation

15000 years ago.

Fascinating landscape. Looks colder than heck. I imagine the boulder in front is granite,but it is hard to tell. A bleak and powerful scene. Nicely composed. Could use a black frame all the way around I think, Fergus. Brr... I shiver..gs

Impressive! I would like to see this bigger though, especially in landscape photography size does matter.
