wogears 186 Posted December 27, 2007 Agree w/Gabi, but I would crop the fg down to a square composition. Link to comment
Mark Keefer 4,782 Posted December 28, 2007 I have heard about those stones, they move as if pushed by ghostly hands. This is one of those unique shots for any photographers portfolio. The intriguing thing is they move and leave the tracks. I can not see what you saw there off the photo, but I think I would have taken this shot horizontally catching both the sun star burst and the track going back to the horizon if it was there. Still, this is a very cool shot. I do like the pattern of the cracked ground and I can see why you wanted to leave it in the foreground. It really gives the feel of standing there and looking down. I am curious, is the sun star burst coming over the horizon real or Photoshopped? I ask only because it looks so perfect. Great photo, thanks for sharing it. Link to comment

babak_ayazifar 0 Posted June 18, 2008 Nice shot, Brett. This must have been a serious exposure challenge. You captured the sun well.BTW, take a look at a similar photo by Rodney Lough. He has a couple of galleries in the San Francisco Bay Area. He's a great photographer, but his prices are outside my current budget. He has a similar rolling rock photo, which he took with a large format camera. If the hyperlink doesn't work, go to http://www.theloughroad.com/ and click on "Online Galleries" and then select "American Deserts."
