aginbyte 0 Posted December 26, 2007 ... this boy was head and shoulders above his playmates in ball skills. Even the older kids could only watch him in awe and admiration. At one point he had five or six consecutive touches with different parts of his body, broke free and made a goal. His long hair was constantly flopping in the wind and movement and he seldom lost concentration. In his mind, it was the World Cup. Link to comment
photis santamouris 23 Posted December 28, 2007 After reading the full description of the match this talented young man performed in,I am anxious to watch the video! Many thanks for your wishes on Christmas. PS:The day before yesterday I hiked 300metres to the old 14th century church in Monemvassia,Peloponnese,I've posted some time ago.It was closed and it won't be left open again because thieves have stolen the priceless icon of Madonna,a long time ago!As you understand, all I was left with, was my VERY heavy tripod, and no interior shots!Tripod and photography are not allowed anymore in such churches, pity!Best wishes for new year! aginbyte 0 Posted December 28, 2007 ... Photis, it is such a shame about the ikon theft; it is the same thing in France where several of the Vierges Romanes have been stolen, the churches left locked and dark. It is such a violation. Usually, though, someone with a key will let you in if you ask. Maybe it is the same in Greece. Thanks for the note. Richard, glad you liked the post. A little change of pace from Romanesque churches, eh? Link to comment

adan1 0 Posted December 29, 2007 Excellent capture Dennis. His focus on the ball is palpable and I kind of like the design on his shirt contrasting with the ball below. Have a wonderful 2008 and the best to you and your family. Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted December 30, 2007 ... the circle on the sweatshirt (t-dyed, no less) and the soccer ball, nice catch there. I figured nobody would ever notice, just as I didn't until I saw the picture on the monitor. Not like John Crosley who sees most of this stuff in lens! Thanks for the comment, have a great New Year. This was fun to post because it is so different than my normal stuff, and because PJ and I had such fun watching this kid go through his stuff. Just like its fun seeing how far Pierre's HTML coding will go on in this comment list:) Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted December 30, 2007 It's different than your grand cathedrals, but no less grand a picture. I still see an archway, an aisle, and a sense of worship that is true of your other photos. Link to comment

aginbyte 0 Posted January 10, 2008 ... http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00NxdX and here I find a wonderful comment from you on this shot. This kid was amazing, watching him reminded me of how important sports were when I was a kid. I remember moving to France and playing futbol with the local kids. A goal would be scored and we'd all stop and share a cigarette (how adult we were at 13) and talk about the shot. It was an entry into a new world, and sports was the common language for us all. deniselanterman 0 Posted January 29, 2008 Dennis, a great shot- his look of concentration, the action, the bikes in the background, the tones. A moment where the boy is giving 100%. I also love your story of this image. Cheers. Denise Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted March 1, 2008 ... this little guy is still one of my favorites. Someday I hope he becomes a star on AJ Auxerre, our favorite futbol team. Then I'll get him to sign a print of this shot :) Link to comment
