ipduffy 0 Posted December 25, 2007 I love it. It looks like the house was dropped in by helicopter just for this shot ... no roads, no driveway, just the house all by itself in the beautiful surroundings. Great capture! Link to comment
photography_nobuyuki_taguc 0 Posted December 26, 2007 I guess you waited for the right moment to capture this colour. Beautiful image. Link to comment
Matt Laur 2,201 Posted January 1, 2008 I'd like to think that this is one of those scenes and moments you were hungering for when you left urbania for these surroundings. That structure's wood and whitewash is just so pefectly echoing the scrubby grass and wisp of snow - lovely. Here's my random suggestion for the day: try getting physically lower on some of these, as long as the grass isn't too much of an obstruction. I find myself shooting too-often from my normal eye level, so talking to you about it here is really a way of reminding myself to change perspective more often. These magnificent scenes of yours might present another entire aspect to explore. Looking forward to some dead-of-winter stuff! Don't stop - this is medicine for us suburban inmates. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted January 25, 2008 Tim, I've looked at this photo so many times that I thought I had commented on it already. This is my favorite of yours so far, but that is not an easy choice. This is one that I would enjoy on my wall at home or in my office. It is complex in it's artistic simplicity. Makes you feel good to be able to do this... Best to you, Dick Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted February 8, 2008 Tim, what I find intriguing about your image is that the eye keeps returning immediately to the old house & you wonder who & why did they ever live here as the surrounding land doesn't lok very productive. You could even say the image is a metaphor for life as I'm sure at times we've all felt alone & isolatd. The low soft tones create an appealing image that is pleasant to view.Regards-Ross Link to comment
vickifrance 0 Posted September 25, 2008 I was wondering where my house went after that last storm. Beautiful work! Link to comment
