Raised hackles

I located this photo of a female golden eagle that had just settled

upon a dead tree limb. As a noisy auto drove past her location she

went into the defensive pose in the photo. I thought about cutting

out the bottom of the photo when I scanned it. I finally decided to

leave it alone as I feel that her neck line blends nicely into her

shoulder. What do you think?

Looking good, very majestic! Perfect pose to capture, too. The colours could be a bit more vibrant, though.

Thanks Alex for the feedback. Might I inquire what you might have done to increase the vibrance of the colors? I have been somewhat succesfull in using photoshop to try out some small changes on this photo.

nice picture and background, but I suspect your scan is terrible and that's limiting the impact of this image. colors aren't brilliant, tonality is not so great (going from some good texture on the neck to blown out on the crown). I'd suggest you get a better scan to better show your work.
