Dance of the aspens

stormy meadows

Twisted aspens at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Long exposure at dusk created a bit of a blur in the leaves, reminding me that there's a good reason they're called "quaking aspens". ;-)

Nice colors. Perhaps a ND Grad filter would have helped the leaves bring out more color (at expense of exposure).

Fall aspens twist and twirl in the twilight. Aspens occur naturally

in clone groupings. In the fall when the leaves start changing, one

can tell one clone from another because all members of a clone will

change at the same time. This was the only clone group beginning to

change when I was at the North Rim last.

The composition on this image is exemplary. I would only bump the contrast a bit by setting levels in Photoshop. I hope I'm not being presumptuous by supplying a slight variation on your image.

Oh this photograph reminds me of the Aspen groves in northern New Mexico. This image is great and has wonderful sentimental quality about (well for me anyway)
