10 year old butterfly

Still working on timing with the digital camera, but this is pretty

close to what I wanted. What would make it better?

I really like how this must have been the first length after the swimmer started. It's excellent how the water in front of her is calm, and the water behind is choppy.

You might try getting even lower. Also what kind of light was this? It looks very warm.

Why is she in the middle of the frame?

You have a nice reflection, but it's blown away by the dead space at the bottom of the image. The green line at the top of the image is distracting as well.

With some simple croping, you will have a nice horizontal image(seeing as it's square right now). Maybe tone downthe contrast a bit, and dodge her mouth some to counter the shadow.

I love hte dark reflection that mixes with the line. That's an affect that can be cultivated.

Difficult shot to capture short of getting in the pool at water level and using a flash. You have done very well though.

From a competitive swimmers point of view it's an awesome shot of a youngster. Clean and clear from the top to the bottom of image & even the never ending black line on the bottom of the pool. Her reflection is like a mirror! Personally the only change I'd consider would be to crop the bottom just shy of her reflection. Were you in the pool? jokin

Assuming it's a 25yd pool,you caught the wall at top of photo; makes pool look short.
