Amy's hair

I just noticed the wonderful shapes and texture created by her hair as she turned her head in

conversation and had to try to capture this.

If she is your lover, i am sure she would say your are the best lover of all, Jonathan. A very beautiful and sensual image that can only come from the heart of a passionate artist/lover.

 

I feel that when you looked at her hair, your heart danced with joy.

Looks like that canyon everyone photographs in Utah. Each represents a different sort of journey (oops, I'm being profound tonight).

I commend you not only on the excellent colours captured here, but also the silky texture of the hair that seems so real in it's granular detail. The hint of shoulder at the bottom adds a sensual element to the shot which I love. I do however seem to long to see less of the face on the right, thus leaving only the hint of shoulder to stir my interest of the girl who this wonderful hair belongs to.

Thank you Ian - I tried it rotated clockwise but without the hint of her face the composition looked unbalanced to me, and also disorientated - eg not clear if the glimpse of her neck might be the edge of her ear, which would then look odd.

 

When I saw her hair in this flowing form she was wearing a knitted top which gripped it slightly (but which I didn't think would enhance the photo) and it was quite difficult to get her hair to stay in that position without it. This was the angle and position which reproduced the effect I liked.
